CHARACTERISTIC PROPERTIES   MARTUT VA 221 is a water - based, Vinyl Acetate -Acrylic Acid Ester Copolymer Emulsion. It is produced by Emulsion Polymerization technique. It is absolutely free formaldehyde.   TYPE OF POLYMER : Vinyl Acetate-Acrylic Acid Ester Copolymer. SOLID CONTENT (%) : 50 ± 1 PH (at 25°c) : 4 - 5,5 VISCOSITY (at 25°c) (Brookfield RVT)  : 4000 - 11000 Cps (Sp.6/10 rpm) MECHANICAL STABILITY : Positive STABILIZING AGENT : Anionic - Nonionic. PARTICLE SIZE : 0,5 - 1,0 micron DENSITY (at 25°c) : 1,03 - 1,08 gr/ml. MINIMUM FILM FORMING TEMPERATURE : Approximately 6 - 7 ° c. FILM APPEARANCE (at 25°c)  : Clear, flexible, bright.   APPLICATION   MARTUT VA 221 is water based, Vinyl - Acrylic Copolymer Emulsion. It is successfully used as a binder for producing Interior - Exterior water - based Emulsion Paints, Ready Made Plaster, Special Decorative Coatings, water - based Primers and Lacquers. MARTUT VA 221 has a lot of performance advantages include flexibility, abrasion resistance, gloss and durability. It exhibits good resistance to mechanical processes such as grinding, mixing and pumping. MARTUT VA 221 has a great pigment binding power for that reason it is particularly used as a binder for Emulsion Paints and Ready Made Plasters with good weather stability.   STORING   MARTUT VA 221 is a water - based and corrosive material therefore, it should be kept in stainless steel, polyester containers or iron drums, plastic barrels with polyethylene innerlinings. It must be protected from freezing and direct sunlight. It is sensitive to temperatures below +5°c and above +35°c. It can be stored about six month under the recommended conditions.
